In the case of galvanised steel, the steel sheet is immersed in a bath of molten zinc to coat the surface with a layer of zinc. This is mainly produced by the continuous galvanising process, whereby rolled steel sheets are continuously dipped into the bath and the zinc is melted to make galvanised steel sheets; Alloy galvanised steel sheets. This steel sheet is also manufactured by dip plating using the hot rolling method, but is heated to about 500°C immediately after leaving the tank to form a zinc-iron alloy coating.
