Galvanised steel coil Z275 is a carbon steel sheet that is galvanised on both sides. This is produced by a metal coating process that passes cold rolled coils through a bath filled with molten zinc. This continuous hot dip plating or also known as electro-galvanising is the main process that these carbon steel sheets must undergo to produce coils and galvanised sheets. The process consists of applying zinc through an electrolytic treatment. After the sheet has undergone this treatment, a layer of zinc is adhered to the base metal by means of a bonding layer of iron and zinc.

Zinc plating is a well-known and effective method of adding a protective layer against corrosion of bare steel by natural elements. Not only will the zinc act as a barrier between the environment and the steel, but it will also decompose first to protect and extend the life of the steel beneath.
